The San Fernando Valley Estate Planning Council is an association of professionals directly involved in the planning, administration and taxation of trusts and estates. We are an educational organization seeking to raise the level of expertise of our members. We provide continuing education credits for attorneys, CPA’s and other licensed disciplines. Our membership is limited to those who are actively involved with the estate planning and administration process. We encourage other such professionals to apply to join our organization.
We encourage professionals working in the area of planning, administration and taxation of trusts and estates to apply to join our organization. We request that prospective members contact an existing council member and attend a meeting with that member. Should the prospective member wish to apply to join the council, they will make application including submitting the name of an existing member who is willing to sponsor their membership. Membership applications will be voted on by the board of directors with input by the sponsoring member. Membership will be considered and either granted or declined based on the principals of our mission statement.
We are a not-for-profit group and wish to provide a valuable educational and professional development for our members. We believe that membership in the organization and regular attendance at meetings provides an atmosphere of consistency and allows us to provide the highest level of educational experience with the best speakers.
San Fernando Valley Estate Planning Council is affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils and joining can fulfill the requirement of belonging to an affiliated local estate planning council to become an Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designee.
